Tainted Love

I can’t say I have cared much about dating this month!

In a sense, I’ve created a partner out of my friends, collectively.

I’ve enjoyed meals in restaurants, deep conversations, I’ve said, “I love you,” and heard it said to me, I’ve spent nights comfortably and uncomfortably alone, I’ve had sex, I’ve been in arguments, and I’ve felt deep appreciation for people who care about me. 

Add in a ton of stress and change, and I’m a little too worn out to go through the process of finding one person with whom I can do all of those things.

And I’ll be honest, bad dates are sometimes funny but sometimes just a waste of time. I wasted enough time last month! Don’t worry, date-updates about those to come.

Let’s all raise a big morning glass (jugs are glasses, right?) of wine to not being proactive daters. It’s ok to take a little time off.
